My Guiding Philosophy
Capital, at its core, is stored time. This $20 dollar tip gives me delivery priority later—and someone clocks off early to see their child; paying babysitter wages keeps aunty present with me—and someone gets to sleep an hour longer. Selfishness is not separate from service. Currency is only one unit; it is self-interest that guides outcomes. Economics observes it, and accounting stores it. It is my goal to enable that self-interest, Adam Smith's so-called "invisible hand," to improve society through finance and capitalism.
“
It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest.
